  • About the Department

    The main role of ‘Small Savings’ Department is to create awareness among the peopleand encourage citizens to invest in Small Savings Scripts Schemes for their ownbenefit . To appoint SAS / MPKBY Agents in Chennai City and to achieve the SmallSavings Collection.

Objectives of the Department
  • To bring awareness among the people and to invest in Small SavingsScrip.
  • Appointment of Standardized Agency System (SAS) / Mahila PradhanKshetriyaBachat Yojana (MPKBY ) Agent
  • Undertake promotional activities like street campaigns, Publicity throughPrint Media.
  • Redressal grievances of investors and agents and generate Employmentto the unemployed youth and other sections of the Society.
  • In order to inculcate the habit for thrifts and savings habits in childhooditself, various competition and cultural programs are conducted, amongSchool Students and Prizes are Distributed during World ThriftCelebrations every year.
  • In order to improve and to mobilize more small savings collection, Prizesand Awards are given to Small Savings Agents at State Level / DistrictLevel / Zonel Level awards are given in the form of NSC’s to the Agents.
